Uribe for a third term?
The BBC speculates whether or not President Uribe will run for a third term in office in the article in the link below.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8233083.stm
I invite you to read the article and post your comments and opinions about the subject. Do you think Uribe has been a good president? Do you think it is a good idea to have a leader for a long period of time?
I look forward to reading your comments and opinions
Simon

Cooking Competition
If you have not already met me, my name is Simon and I am one of the two new language assistants that will be working at the Universidad Libre with you for the next two semesters :)
I would like to invite you ALL to participate in the cooking competition that will take place as part of the Countries Festival on WEDNESDAY, August 26. The idea is that you should choose one of the 9 English speaking countries (USA, England, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, India, Canada or Jamaica) and prepare a savory/sweet dish from that country. The competition is open to both students and teachers. If you wish to participate, you should register in the faculty office or through the comments section of this blog (before August 25 at the very latest!). There is a competition in each schedule (morning, afternoon and evening), so no excuses!
There will be a prize for the winner of each competition!!!
I look forward to seeing you all at the Countries Festival.
p.s. do not forget that everyone should wear BLUE on the day of the countries festival
